Sebaceous Hyperplasia
Sebaceous hyperplasia are yellowish or flesh-colored bumps mainly noted on the forehead, cheeks, and nose of middle-aged to older persons. They are often bumpy with a central pore. Often confused with skin cancer, a dermatologist's opinion is strongly recommended for confirmation and to prevent a mistaken diagnosis. Treatment of sebaceous hyperplasia primarily includes electric destruction, laser therapy, or surgical removal. Prevention may be undertaken in patients with rosacea via appropriate rosacea therapy.
